So, Teachers’ Day or Shikshak divas marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was born to a Bramhin family in Tirurrani, Andhra Pradesh in 1988.
When Dr. Radhakrishnan took the office of the second President of India in 1962, his students approached him to seek permission to celebrate September 5 as a special day.
